Some background about the design: A number of years ago, I (this is Kid writing) performed in a David Shrigley "Problem" concert. He had painted a number of hilarious kick drum designs and I asked if Shrigley would make one for my drum. Amazingly he agreed and sent me 50 sketches to choose from. The Success design popped out. A few weeks later, the final design arrived on a kick drum head (see photo). I've traveled all over the world with this drum head. We asked David if he'd be OK if we sold a few shirts using his design and he agreed. This is wearable art that people have already tried to bootleg - but this is the real shit. Grab one while ya can!

We moved studios and found a couple boxes of T-shirts from various tours over the years. We'd love to get them into your hands! ATTN - I'm not sure what it costs to ship to AUS. . .so if you live there, there's a chance I underestimated the cost of shipping.

We have a number of shirts from the Romance era, two colors (calling them purple and gray), designed by Dan Schechter, that reference the album cover of our 2018 double album.

The Fossil shirt was designed by Diana Kinscherf! I can't remember what era this was from. A nice gnarly design. They come in maroon and a kind of pale forest green/gray.

The flint design was by Dan Schechter from The Brah Tapes era. . .we only have 1 small at the moment.

There was not enough room to show photos of grey flint design. There's 1 copy of the fluorescent orange print design. If you're interested we can send you a photo. It's slightly different than the black.

The Green Benefit T-shirt was an interesting situation. . .someone wanted to sell Oneida shirts to benefit something. . .we can't remember what. There were lots of left over shirts. . .it's a unique design from The Wedding era. An old classic. . .there's only one XL. If you'd like to see a photo hit me up!

And boy, what with the epic drumming of Oneida’s Kid Millions informing the core of this ensemble’s sound, don’t this just shit all over so many modern so-called Kraut-informed bands." TLDR: If you buy a People of the North (Oneida side-project with Bobby and Kid) - you will receive this new Oneida digital release of unreleased studio jams from 2009 for free! This is a recording from a portable cassette deck - so it sounds like that!

Because this is NYC and the cost of our long-term rented space became overwhelming, we moved out of yet another rehearsal/storage space (I think this is number 6?) in Bushwick to decamp to Maspeth. You'll never find us, so don't try. In the process, we off-loaded a ton of moldy gear and uncovered even more CDs we'd forgotten to sell on our 90s and early 2000s tours. But more interestingly - we found an unmarked cassette, in a blank case (see bonus photos). Barry decided to listen to it - God knows why. But contained within were these high velocity jams. I remember taping this stuff. We had a crumby cassette deck with a built-in condenser mic that actually had a strap attached to it. I pressed record and hung it on the door to our control room as we played. Perhaps I thought what we were doing was awesome. I remember doing this once - so this is probably that tape! During a break in one of the jams, you can hear Jane and Showtime talk about prog entering the room. I can't speak to this - but the cuts are great. This is a cheap purchase b/c the recording quality is limited. But it's good! The one caveat is that it sounds like Bobby is not here. We love him and he's missed, but he also lives in Boston. Some of this is Barry and myself jamming. . .and then some includes Showtime and Jane. We have all this People of the North merch here that you can buy AND receive a free copy of this digital album. It's especially useful to us during this Bandcamp Friday - but we'll leave it up after that ends. If you don't want to buy the POTN vinyl or cassette - then just grab the digital here.

But if you buy an old People of the North release, or one of our T-shirts listed, you can get something old and something old/new in the bargain. In case you didn't know - People of the North is a "side project" of Bobby and I - and other members of Oneida are always in the grooves. It's rarely just us two. . .so if you dig the O, you'll likely dig People of the North. Check 'em out!
