During Oneida's European tour for our album Happy New Year, we found ourselves in Sweden, after a long flight from sunny Italy. A festival driver met us at the airport and took us to a town in the middle of nowhere. . .many hours from where our plane landed. Even though it was summertime - it was cold!

Before this performance, we'd seen Bo Hansson (RIP) on stage sitting in with Sagor & Swing, and at the hotel breakfast. I got his autograph and gave it to Bobby (see photo).

We were given one case of beer to drink for the entire time we were there - and we guarded it with our lives.

Our friend Rodney was somehow in the area, researching Vikings for a television comedy series that hasn't happened yet. He later won an Oscar - though it had nothing to do with seeing Oneida in Sweden.
